raft bench

This ash and hoop pine bench by David Trubridge visually resembles a raft or even a hammock more so than a place to sit. The small, thin skeletal structure and asymmetry make me a bit wary of engaging it. Make me curious how this bench would get used if I had it. Nonetheless, the fine craftsmanship and sculptural, organic forms makes David’s pieces beautiful and interesting.
