It’s getting to be spring and the sight of the radiator may be an eyesore. Satyendra Pakhale has not so ugly solution for winter warmth: the add-on radiator

It’s modular and comes in electric and hydraulic versions. The dramatic lighting turns it into an art piece of sorts. Add-on kind of reminds me of another beautiful radiator we featured a while back.

Thinner is the most elegant table design that I have set my eyes on in some time:

From designer Tobias Berneth; displayed at Karl Anderson. I love the entire thing from slender lines to an even slimmer and intricate edge detail.

Note: it comes in a variety of finishes, including wood

it is true, this wall paper emits light! Jonas Samson has taken the technology that allows a flat surface to emit light and integrated it into wall paper. When it is switched off it is just wallpaper but when a guest enters the room you can switch it on like a like light and blow them away!

I love the sequence of change shown in these images. The effect can grow from subtle to intense. I imagine that this could easily alter a bad mood. Or perhaps create a little rage with the right color and intensity. I want a small sitting room with this paper.

Hooray!!!! I am in love with the Brooklyn Bridge but have never EVER liked the big Verizon billboard in the background messing up my view and my photos. It looks as though change is brewing with a new all glass “iconic downtown office building”.

Cook + Fox can be credited with the glass make over. Although the diagrid structure and the mullion system appears a little heavy to me, the new building (skin) is warmly welcome in my eyes. Goodbye, Verizon sign!

Artist Chiharu Shiota wraps objects from floor to ceiling in black wool. The result is stunning and leaves you curious about the object entangled. Some of her works are on display in New York at the moment. I am dying to make it over to the Goff + Rosenthal Gallery while her works are still showing.

The piano above titled “In Silence” was burned before it was wrapped. This is in response to a fire that hit close to her hart as a child. Here is an interesting article about the piece.
