functional cork

We’re seeing cork used in varying roles these days; like this headboard/artpiece and these stools. But really, who knew cork could be so beautiful…and functional? I’ll have to suspend my judgement of durability for now and just enjoy it. From Simple Forms Design.

@M – Yeah, I was thinking about that too. I couldn’t find any info on durability and cleanliness so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming they solved it somehow – perhaps with some kind of sealant.

I bought a simple forms design washbasin and i have used it for almost two years.
It’s 100% functional, no leaks, no cleaning problems and it’s always a pleasure to wash my hands on it.
