paper art by peter callesen

I like the following pieces of paper art by Danish artist Peter Calleson for it’s inventiveness and the duality of the subject matter. For whatever reason it’s mentally pleasing for me to see the subject rendered two different ways and in contrasting states that work together to help you understand better what you are seeing.
For instance, you don’t just see the shape and outline of the above vase, you know from the scattered pieces that it is also fragile and that in fact something has caused it to break – you can practically hear it happening. It gives it a tactile quality.
