Energy Plus building designed for Paris
January 25, 2008
Architects Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill have designed what will be the worlds greenest office building. Located in Paris, the building will be more than 70,000 sq m and house up to 5,000 people and will generate enough electricity to provide for all electrical demand. Solar panels, efficient cooling systems, and cutting-edge insulation will all be employed to make sure that tenants won’t have to pay for any of their electricity. But look for rent prices to be higher as someone will have to pay for the up-front cost premium.
